When we first shared the story of a widow in Bungoma, Kenya whose home had crumbled around her family, we asked you to pray. We asked you to believe with us that what the enemy meant for destruction, God would turn into something beautiful. Today, we are overjoyed to share what He has done.
More than a house, a home full of life
In the time since Bride Arise stepped in to provide this family with a new home, something remarkable has unfolded within those walls. What was built as a refuge for a mother and her two recovering sons has since become so much more.
When she learned that her sister had nowhere to go, she opened her doors without hesitation, welcoming her into the home and offering her the stability she herself once desperately needed. A house built for three is now sheltering an extended family, a living picture of generational blessing.
Purpose rising from the rubble
Within the walls of her new home, this widow has also built something of her own. She now runs a hairdressing business, serving her neighbors and providing for her family with her own hands. This is what we mean when we say we are not just building structures, we are laying foundations for people to walk fully in their purpose.
The greatest miracle of all
Of everything that has taken place since that home was built, nothing moves our hearts more than this: she and her family have given their lives to Christ.
The walls we built became a sanctuary in every sense of the word. A place of physical shelter became a place of spiritual transformation. This is the ripple effect of obedience, when we respond to one crisis with love, God answers with a harvest we never could have planned.
