“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.”
This promise has been our anchor as we witnessed the aftermath of the devastating floods that swept through the Philippines in September 2023.
The situation on the ground was critical. Unexpected, torrential rains triggered massive flash floods across Mindanao, submerging entire villages in Maguindanao del Sur and surrounding regions. In a matter of hours, thousands of families were displaced, crops were destroyed, and homes were filled with mud and debris. For many communities, particularly those in the uptown and mountain areas, this level of flooding was unprecedented, leaving them with no time to prepare and nowhere to turn.
Standing with the Vulnerable
In the face of this crisis, we believe our mandate is clear: to be the hands and feet of Jesus where the need is greatest. With the vital partnership of Pastor Daryl Lisondra, our organization has been on the ground extending a helping hand to those most profoundly affected. We were able to deliver essential supplies and ensuring that no one is forgotten in the mountains or the valleys.
We are so grateful for our partners and supporters who make this work possible. Together, we are showing these communities that even in the wake of a disaster, there is a hope that never washes away.
